I was so excited when Ellen reached out to me about photographing her family as they prepare to welcome their new addition! She is an absolute joy and her Murray Park maternity session will go down as one of my all time favorites!
Ellen and I met years ago when she joined the symphony orchestra that I am apart of, and we have been stand partners ever since! It has been an absolute joy to get to know her since that time. Every week she would come to rehearsal and give me an update on her life. Then she met a guy. Before I even met Craig I knew he was perfect for her. They were soon engaged and planning a wedding. (She made her own gorgeous dress!!) I’d get updates every week on their life and the future they were working hard to create.
I was thrilled to learn that she and Craig were expecting a baby! We talked through all of our options and decided that a Murray Park maternity session would be perfect. I was nervous watching the snow fall in the days leading up to our session – snow and ice while pregnant is not exactly ideal, but the day turned out beautifully! We had a few flurries to start with, and even got a few glimpses of the sun.
Right off the bat I could tell that this was a family who is always having fun! Their closeness was evident and their laughter was infectious. Their darling daughter kept everyone laughing with her posing and antics. She agreed to be my assistant and was invaluable! She is going to be an amazing big sister!
Craig and Ellen, I am so excited for you guys! I had so much fun, and you are all absolute troopers for being willing to be out in the cold! (Seems some of the winter fishing skills cross over!) I can’t wait to meet your sweet baby and hear all the exciting updates!
