I remember spending countless evenings at their house throughout high school. Working on homework, school projects, and watching the latest episode of the Gilmore Girls (they had this new fancy thing called a DVR). In my time there, along with various school activities I got to know this entire family. Through the years they’ve grown, gone to college, gotten married, and had children.
I was so excited when they reached out to me asking if I’d be willing to take some extended family photos for them. Yes, please! We decided we’d take over downtown Provo and it was so much fun! I’ve had few reasons to be in downtown in recent years and there have been so many changes! It was fun to get to walk down Center Street and see all of the new businesses and buildings. I was a little worried when after a full week of gorgeous weather Utah decided to be cold and rainy. Thankfully, we found a time before the storm came in when the lighting was perfect and took some fantastic pictures.
Throughout the whole session we laughed, told jokes, and played. Who said bubbles were only for kids? I love being around people who are willing to go with the flow and try new things. I also appreciated that they didn’t laugh too hard at me when I had to keep moving my stool back. (They’re all just so tall!!)
Heaton Family, you guys are awesome! Thank you for inviting me in to be a part of your family so many years ago. Thanks for all of the fun times and inside jokes. It’s been a privilege to know you all.
