I love it when I get to photograph people who love having a good time. The ones who no matter what is happening, you’re all bound to have a good time. This was exactly how I felt photographing this stunning spring family session.
As we know, spring in Utah can be unpredictable and this year has been no different. Despite watching the weather daily – and hourly – leading up to our session, the skies decided to throw us a curve ball a few hours before our start time. We saw a window in the forecasted rain and decided to go for it. And I’m so glad we did!
Regardless of it being about 15 degrees cooler than originally forecasted, everyone was all smiles. It was a joy to walk with them and talk about their summer plans, what they liked best about the school year, and how old I am. (Bless the young ones for thinking I’m a solid decade younger than I actually am!)
It is a joy watching this family interact with each other. Dad constantly tickling everyone to smile, silly faces being made, siblings making jokes behind the scenes, and epic fight scene reenactments. It’s not everyday there’s so much laughter going on behind me, and I love every minute of it.
I can’t believe the little guy is the same sweet newborn I photographed in this lifestyle session. Time refuses to slow down. I am so happy that this fun family has some current images documenting what life for them as a family of 5 looks like right now.
Kevin and Kendal, thank you for doing all of the hard work to prepare your family for our time together. I look at your images and feel your love and laughter all over again. I know you will be able to as well. Go and enjoy your summer together. Your adventures await!
